Broker
An expatriate British Columbian, I have lived and worked in the real estate industry throughout Canada since the 1970's, and have directly experienced the cycles of our markets. We have enjoyed tremendous booms, and experienced difficult corrections, and know that markets are never static in individual neighbourhoods.
I spent over thirty years in the corporate real estate market, leasing and managing office buildings, industrial parks, and shopping centres in both major and smaller Canadian cities before joining Royal LePage Burloak, and have been a Director of the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) of Canada, a member of the Federal Energy Management Task Force in Canadian Office Buildings, a member of the Real Estate Institute of Canada, interviewed by Barbara Frum on the Journal, and have served on many industry committees and organizations. My current activities include membership in the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) Council, Canada's Association for the 50 Plus (CARP), the Canadian Club of Halton-Peel, and the Royal Botanical Gardens.
I currently hold a Broker's registration in the Province of Ontario, evidencing my experience and training, and not only have a greater scope than a Sales Representative, but am also held by the authorities to a higher duty of care for my clients. Professional memberships include the Realtor's Association of Hamilton-Burlington, the Oakville-Milton & District Real Estate Board, the Ontario Real Estate Association, and the Canadian Real Estate Association.
