Welcome to Montreal's West Island. Let me be your resource guide for all that is good about my home-town!
Sports, Recreational & Cultural Associations
The West Island offers everything you could imagine in the way of recreational facilities. These include organized kids and adult leagues for hockey, ringuette, soccer, football, baseball, softball, and rugby, as well as clubs for tennis, squash, raquetball, badminton, gymnastics, skating, curling, swimming, diving, golf, cycling, skiing, horseback riding, canoeing and sailing. There are groups to join for all manner of arts & crafts and wonderful facilities for cycling, fishing, boating, cross-country and downhill skiing. The ski hills and lakes are within an hour’s drive of the West Island. There are cultural centres in five of the communities offering exhibitions, concerts and many local theatre, music and dance companies, both amateur and professional.
In order to ensure that all information is up-to-date at all times, I've included the websites for the municipalities. Here you will find all the information you need to enjoy life in Montreal's West Island. Enjoy!
