About Merritt B.C.

Right in the Heart of the Coquihalla Highways more and more people are discovering the natural beauty and attractions worth experiencing in the Nicola Valley!

Less than 3 hours from Vancouver and 1 ½ hours from Kelowna, we truly are situated in "The heart of the Coquihalla".

The City of Merritt has a population of 8500 with the trading area being 12,000. Merritt boasts 2,030 annual hours of sunshine. Total precipitation is 30 cm (11.81 inches) per year. The climate is moderate, similar to the Okanagan, with relatively short winters, early spring and long autumns, sometimes stretching well into November.

Although many newcomers are retirees, there are a great number of families moving into the area as well. You will find new subdivisions as well as older established areas to choose a home in. Our Property Managers, Lynda Etchart and John Isaac, may also be helpful in finding you a place to rent if you're not in a hurry to find a place to purchase.

Local recreation includes cross country skiing, sailing, three golf courses, skating, hockey, curling and much, much more. The indoor pool is very popular.
