Living It & Loving It - Leduc
The City of Leduc was once considered a bedroom community but we’re no longer bound by that reputation. Covering over 36km and serving a population of over 23,000 residents, we’re home to a wonderfully diverse group of citizens, including families, young professionals, entrepreneurs and retirees. The City of Leduc has something for everyone.
Alberta Venture Magazine name the City of Leduc the #1 place to do business in 2009. It's also a great place to raise a family. Residents can choose the lifestyle that is best suited for them. Apartments, first-time homes in master planned communities, custom homes and executive estates — the choices are unlimited!
Take in the beautiful views at one of Leduc's many lakes or enjoy one of the many water and ice recreational activities available. Depending on your interests and time of year, there are a number of waterways to keep your family active all year round.
Alexandra Park Ponds - home to beautiful fountains and migratory birds in the summer and your choice of shinny hockey or leisure skating ice surfaces in the winter.
Coady Lake - cleared once a week for skating during the winter season.
Leduc Reservoir - home to unique wildlife during the summer months and cleared weekly for skating in the winter season.
Telford Lake - scenic lake in the heart of Leduc with fantastic wildlife watching for most of the year. The lake is also host to such activities as rowing and canoeing in the summer, as well as City approved snowmobile races and ice races in the winter months.
West Point Lake - cleared once a week for skating during the winter season.
There are more than 52 kilometers of scenic multi-use pathways within Leduc; much of which are cleared throughout the winter to ensure year round access.
