🎡 The Big One: Jaywalkers Jamboree
When: June 5–7, 2026
Where: Downtown Camrose (50th Street)
Let’s be honest: it’s not officially summer in Camrose until 50th Street completely transforms into a pedestrian paradise. The Jaywalkers Jamboree is back, bringing its signature blend of carnival rides, flashing lights, and that unmistakable, beautiful smell of food trucks.
It’s a three-day block party packed with midway thrills(with added rides for extra fun), local retail bargains, and live entertainment. If you haven't yet experienced the chaos of eating the Camrose Fire Dept Corn on the Cob, a variety of local cuisine, or a some classic mini donuts, while watching local performers give it their all on the main stage, make this the weekend you finally do it.
🎭 A Night at the Theatre: The Stampeders…One More Time

Where: Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre
If you’re looking to trade the carnival dust for something a little more air-conditioned and melodic, classic Canadian rock royalty is coming to town. The Stampeders are stopping by for a night of pure nostalgia and fun.
The Lougheed Centre—located right on the historic U of A Augustana Campus—is the perfect venue to catch legendary tracks like Sweet City Woman. It’s a great excuse to dress up, grab a drink, and enjoy one of the best acoustic spaces in the province.
🐦 Nature & Nostalgia: The Purple Martin Festival & More
When: June 13, 2026
Where: Various locations around Camrose & Area
June 13th is shaping up to be a choose-your-own-adventure style Saturday.
For the nature enthusiasts, Camrose is widely known for its wildlife stewardship, which takes center stage at the annual Purple Martin Festival.
You can check out the multi-unit, condominium-style nest boxes located around our local parks, learn about wildlife conservation, and see these amazing aerial acrobats up close.

Historic Heisler Hotel Train Excursion: Hop aboard the Battle River Railway shortline for a nostalgic, scenic train ride through the rural beauty of the region.

Main Street Christmas Lights: Take a leisurely stroll down Main Street and marvel at the beautifully decorated storefronts and the enchanting display of Christmas lights. This year you are sure to cherish the Christmas trees on each corner decorated by groups of all ages. It's the perfect backdrop for a festive evening walk with family and friends.
Candy Cane Lane: Many neighborhoods throughout Camrose go all out with their holiday decorations. Keep an eye out for local "Candy Cane Lanes" on Marler Drive, where residents transform their homes into dazzling displays of lights and cheer. Grab a hot chocolate and enjoy a drive-through tour of these illuminated spectacles! Oh and keep your eye out for the “Big Guy”, Santa is known to make some special appearances.
Holiday Markets & Shopping
Small Business Saturday & Shop Local Initiatives: Throughout December, many Camrose businesses will be offering special promotions and extended hours. Make an effort to shop local and support the heart of our community while finding those perfect holiday treasures.
Midnight Madness: Happening Nov. 28 in our beautiful Downtown. Take a stroll down and enjoy all that our local businesses have to offer, from sales to snacks and hot chocolate. You may even hear the voices of some talented carolers or catch a quick pic with jolly ole Saint Nick.
Love Local Christmas Market: Head on over to the Norseman Inn on December 7th, 10-4pm and check out all the amazon talented vendors, showcasing their products.
Family-Friendly Fun
Skating at the Rudy Swanson Park: Lace up your skates and enjoy some classic Canadian winter fun on the outdoor rink at Rudy Swanson Park (once the ice is ready). It’s a wonderful way to get some fresh air and make lasting memories with your loved ones.
Photos with Santa: Keep an eye out for Santa's appearances around Camrose! Whether at the mall, a local event, or a special breakfast, a photo with the jolly man in red is a cherished holiday tradition for many families.
CRE Toy Bingo on Dec. 10: Bring the kids for a night of fun. Snacks are available and the kids always love a chance to win this season's fun new toys.
Camrose Public Library Holiday Events: The library often hosts special holiday-themed story times, craft sessions, and movie screenings for children and families. They even have a Merry Creepmas night for those teens that may fancy a creepier spin on the season.
